I.P.E. Handmade "5" Apple Shape Sandblasted Briar Tobacco Pipe

This is a great little sandblasted Apple shape. The pipe is unsmoked, in wonderful shape, and retains the bowl coating left by the artist. 

It was part of a large collection of high end pipes.

This artist usually stamps "IPE" and "HANDMADE" as well as a number on his pipes.

However, this one is stamped "IP" (small stamping area), "HANDMAD" (again, small stamping area) and "5".

 In my research I ended up on the Smoking Pipes website and read some of their old pipe listings for this maker. 

Even they couldn't find anything about this maker but they gave his (or her) work high marks.  I agree, whoever I.P.E. is, his pipes are nice!

This pipe has been cleaned, treated with 99% alcohol, polished, and carnauba waxed.
